Aug 13, 2009 1) download a supported rom. Check this list to see what games are supported and their MAME names. Most sites will host by the MAME name. All files will download in an archive. 2) download the neogeo bios file.
MVSPSP is an emulator is just like the CPS2 execept it runs, Julie (heehee), Neo Geo games. (KOF, Samurai Shodown, Metal Slug, World Heroes, etc).
It is set up just like the CPS2, so I just copied and pasted the instructions. The following is the link where you can download it from pspupdates:

Extract everything to a directory on your computer -including the converter folder. The readme file will have all the directory names that you need to set up in the non % folder. (Folders that need to be set up include: Snap, State, Rom, Cache, Temp, Nvram and I think that is it.) -If you run the emulator, I am pretty sure that it will create these folders for you.
Make sure your games are zipped and the zip file names have not been tampered with, or the program will not register them as actual games. Before loading them onto your memory stick, run them through the converter and it will create a 'gamename'_cache.zip file. This is important to do or you will get an error whenever you try to run your games. Just go into the converter folder and run the rom converter program. It will ask you for the location and the game you want to convert....then do the rest for you.
Drop the game zip in the rom folder and the cache zip in the cache folder. When you boot up, your gamename should appear in white lettering. (If it is red lettering then the zip file is incorrectly names...try again bucko)
Another note with it...when you get into the games: The home button doesn't work with this emulator, but you can exit the emulator through the main menu. Hit select and start at the same time to access the main menu while in any game.
Make sure you have plenty of room on your memory stick. I have to delete up to 775 megs free on my card to get it to open KOF 99, Samurai Shodown V, and Mark of the Wolves.
